Pattern: Flax by Tin Can Knits
Purchased from: Free on Ravelry

This is my second completed sweater. I am so excited. I love the way it came out, I think it’s absolutely adorable. This is the same pattern I used for Hannah’s sweater, but this time I added stripes and skipped the garter ridge down the sleeves.

Ignore the pajamas!!! It seems to fit her nicely, though my cousin tells me she thinks I should have made it longer, like to cover her behind.

I’m still working on my Light Rain sweater but haven’t made a whole lot of progress on it. I didn’t knit at all this weekend. I spent the weekend re-skeining yarn and dying yarn. Meh. I may never finish my own sweater…

Finished: Hat for my Dad

I started this hat for my Dad on October 19, and managed to finish it on October 22. It took a bit longer than I would have liked, but that’s just life I guess.

My husband tried it on multiple times for me while I was knitting. It fits him nice and snug so it should fit my Dad just fine. I just need to wash it and then I can mail it off to him

** edited to add: So it turns out that my husband has a much larger head than my father. Haha. The hat is a little larger than it should be on my father. You might try using a smaller needle when you make a hat, or cast-on less stitches. **

I didn’t use any specific pattern, I pulled many parts from many patterns, picking and choosing and went from there. I did write it out as I went. So if you’re interested in a men’s size worsted weight winter-type hat with some striping, you can download the FREE pdf pattern here.

Shop Updates.

Last weekend I finished a couple of project bags, these ones with zippers. One was made quite tall in order to fit long straight knitting needles.

This weekend I also managed to write a simple sewing pattern so that you can make your own project bag. I have not written a pattern in quite a while and I had forgotten how much I enjoy it. The pattern is for a simple drawstring bag, but there is no crazy measuring involved in order to create a channel for the ties, I made it as simple as possible.
