The weather has been getting colder here over the last week or two and I figured I better make myself some mittens! This is actually the first time I’ve complete a knit project for myself. All my other knitting has been for my kids, family and friends.
I was very excited to finish these. They are my own design and I really had to sit and think about how to get the lattice pattern on the back of both mittens.
The finished measurements are:
From cuff to fingertip – 9 1/2”
From beginning of palm to fingertip – 6 3/4”
Fits hand up to 7 1/4” from bottom of palm to fingertip
You can purchase this pattern on Ravelry or Craftsy.
I finished a second pair of mittens! This pair which much more quickly. My daughter wanted the tops to be different, so I went with that.
I also finally managed to finish the Nurmilintu Shawl. It’s smaller than I expected but I do like it and since it’s a Christmas gift, I hope the recipient likes it as well.
Currently on my needles is “Flax” by Tin Can Knits. It’s a free sweater pattern on Ravelry. This is my first sweater and I’ve already had to rip back and start over!! But now I am back on track. I’m making the 8-10 year old size for my daughter, Hannah. Figured I should probably start small with my first sweater.
I know it’s not much right now but I’m pretty excited about it. I also have another Snowflake Beanie on my needles, which I generally work on when it’s slow at work, because I am familiar with this pattern and it’s kind of hard to mess it up.
It’s actually farther than that, but I haven’t taken a photo lately. The last two times I made this hat I finished in a day, so it’s goes pretty quickly if you sit and actually work on it!
I also currently have a pair of socks on the needles. Well one sock… Okay, one sock toe.
I think that’s about it for this week. I added some new project keepers to my Etsy shop. There are also a few project bags still available, I will be making more of those soon though, first chance I get.
